  • WAM’S New Infusion Resin Promoting Wind Power Development

    Time:Source: Administrator

On May 7, WINDEY YD110, the large offshore wind turbine blade was successfully rolling off the production line at Zhongfu Lianzhong facility. By using WAM’s wind energy infusion resin LT-5088A/B, at present it is the longest offline turbine blade in China with the length of 110 meters and the rotor diameter 225 meters.

    New Wind Energy Infusion Resin

Resin is the key factor to determine the performance of wind turbine blade. Wind energy infusion resin LT-5088A/B is one of the four major resin series developed by WAM and applied to wind power industry with many advantages.  First of all, with low mix viscosity, it has good wettability to fibres which could shorten the blade infusion time and improve the blade production efficiency. Secondly, it also has the characteristics of low exothermic temperature and long pot life which is conducive to the infusion of large blades.

    Power Association to Strive Forward

With the maturity of the offshore wind power market and technology, and the expansion of  turbine generator capacity, it has become the consensus in the industry that the offshore wind blade is developing towards large scale. To this end, WAM has established a comprehensive strategic cooperative relationship with large wind power blade factories, OEMs and other enterprises to promote the research, development and manufacturing of large offshore blades and boost wind industry move forward quickly and efficiently.

    Sustainable Future Development

In the future, WAM will continue to improve its own research and development innovation system, meanwhile, by focusing on the research and development of high efficiency green blade materials and other products, it will further deepen the technical cooperation with upstream and downstream customers to make contributions to accelerating the realization of a cleaner and lower carbon society and promoting the sustainable development of the wind energy industry.
